Institutional Form
The World Microfinance Forum Geneva (WMFG) is an association registered in Geneva with an international membership.
Private Partners and Members are the driving force of the association. They include the Geneva Financial Center, bringing together more than 100 mainstream financial institutions; the Swiss Microfinance Platform, uniting over 40 commercial and non-commercial organisations active in microfinance; The Sustainability Forum Zürich; and a number of private enterprises and foundations promoting sustainable and inclusive finance.
Public Partners and Members are essential to WMFG's work. Over the years, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) has been a consistent supporter.

Organisation
WMFG’s Board takes responsibility for strategy, its implementation, and the management of resources. The composition of the Board reflects the broad membership base. It includes senior representatives of mainstream financial institutions, foundations and microfinance institutions, networks, and investment vehicles. The Executive Committee directs the management of the association and takes decisions between board meetings.
WMFG's Secretariat is managed by a small team of professionals that combines knowledge and experience in private investment with an in-depth understanding of inclusive finance. Management is supported by a group of dedicated fellowship candidates, volunteers and interns. WMFG welcomes motivated individuals to join its team.
