A conference for pension funds and institutional asset managers interested in microfinance as an investment opportunity. An independent overview of microfinance investment products in the current crisis will be followed by a concrete case study of a pension fund that has pioneered investment in microfinance. A highlight of the event will be a debate on the role of public funding in microfinance.

WMFG has commissioned an in-depth study of selected European pension funds that are either engaged in, or seriously considering investing in microfinance. The study will result in a strategic brief on pension funds’ rationale and perspectives for investing in microfinance.
